NMMA Certification is a cost-effective way to verify adherence to industry standards and federal regulations. Certification demonstrates a commitment to quality, safety and reliability that improves consumer confidence and enhances company credibility. It provides consumers with peace of mind and assurance that their new boat is built to the industry's highest standards.

This program consists of boat and yacht certification requiring third party inspections and a Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) program.

NMMA requires its boat builder members to be NMMA Certified (effective with Model Year 2007), NMMA supports its members’ investment in certification through extensive advertising, marketing and public relations efforts.

You are not required to be an NMMA member to become NMMA Certified.
