The Grant Program was established to assist other individuals, groups and agencies in their efforts to introduce new people into boating. The NMTA believes that working across the industry to aid in the advancement of recreational boating is vital.

Examples of programs that have received funding include:

• Youth fishing programs to help cover the cost of additional equipment to provide greater opportunities for kids to go fishing
• Youth sailing schools to help fund the purchase of small sailboats to further their training programs
• Local middle school with programs focused on boater training
• And more!
