Northwest Boating Center
| The Discover
Northwest Boating center is a traveling booth that appears at regional and
local events throughout the Pacific Northwest. It is manned by a network
of dozens of boating experts who share informational literature and
unbiased advice to new, prospective, and experienced boaters. The booth is
a regional application of the Discover
Boating Centers, established by the NMMA. |
| The center also
serves as a promotional tool for the Seattle Boat Show. At
Discover Northwest Boating events, visitors to the booth who do
not currently own a boat receive two complimentary passes to the
opening day of the Seattle Boat Show in exchange for filling out a
short survey that highlights their boating interests. In the past
12 months, more than 2,500 people have participated in the "Boatless
in Seattle" program. |
